Feedback on our Draft Environment and Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan Matrix 2026–2036 has now closed

Council is currently reviewing and analysing all submissions.
A summary report of the feedback we received from the community engagement will be published on our website, and shared with Council. We’ll also show how community input has shaped the final strategy.
The Environment and Sustainability Strategy Advisory Committee will also be providing advice, guidance and feedback on the revised documents prior to going to Council for final approval.

New environmental priorities not currently included
Wording, tone and accessibility of the Strategy
How Council reports back to the community on progress
Your feedback can’t influence:
Projects or activities outside the scope of this Strategy eg planning scheme amendments
Major energy project approvals (including offshore wind, seismic testing or gas exploration) — Council can advocate, but is not the decision-maker
Places not owned or managed by Moyne Shire Council (e.g. Tower Hill, Budj Bim National Park, Deen Maar)
Roads and roadsides not under Council authority (e.g. Princes Highway and other arterial roads managed by VicRoads)
Fees and charges already adopted by Council, such as current transfer station fees
