New bus stop locations

Following the outcome of a community survey, Council will install 2 new bus stops along High Street: outside the Victoria Park entrance on the west side, and outside 78 High Street on the east as shown in this image. Construction will commence upon final approval from the Department of Transport for these locations.

Landscaping

Planting of trees and landscaping works has commenced.

Streetscape works

Our planned works in High Street for September may require some traffic management. We will confirm any road closures prior to works commencing.

7-11 September

  • Mill Street to King Street, east side,
  • Kerb and channel construction
  • No planned road closure

14-18 September

  • King Street to Council depot, east side
  • Kerb and channel construction
  • No planned road closure

14-25 September

  • Council depot
  • Construction of kerb and car park
  • No planned road closure

14-25 September

  • Horne Street to Mill Street
  • Road pavement construction
  • Full road closure, with detour in place via Wright Street, McVicar Street and Mill Street
  • Road will be open to traffic outside working hours

28 September to 2 October

  • Horne Street to Mill Street
  • Road sealing works
  • Road closure in place
