Community drop-in session

We warmly invite residents, businesses, commuters and interested stakeholders to drop in to learn more about the Gipps Street Bridge Project, hear directly from the project team, ask questions and share your feedback.

We note the strong community interest in how the project may affect emergency access, response times and community safety. Emergency services are working collaboratively with project partners to plan for and manage the potential impacts of bridge closure. Representatives of local emergency services will be on hand to answer questions.

The session will provide an opportunity to:
- Meet project team members face-to-face.
- See concept plans for the design.
- Understand project timelines and upcoming milestones.
- Find out how construction may affect travel, access and local activities.
- Ask questions and receive information directly from the project team.
- Share local knowledge, concerns and suggestions.
- Understand what the project means for the community.
- Learn how you can stay informed as the project progresses.

15-minute project briefings will be held at 4:15pm and 5:15pm, but you can drop in any time that suits you between 4-6pm.

When: 4-6pm, Wednesday 2 September 2026
Where: Port Fairy Surf Life Saving Club, Training Rooms, Hughes Avenue
