The Moyne Shire Council, at its Ordinary Meeting held on 22 September 2026, resolved to commence a public consultation process in relation to a proposed road deviation and discontinuance pursuant to section 207B(2A) and Schedule 10, Clause 2 of the Local Government Act 1989 ("the Act").

Council is considering a proposal affecting part of an unused freehold Council road reserve adjoining the property known as 23 Farley's Road, Toolong.

The land affected by the proposal is described as part of the land contained in Volume 11252 Folio 711, being Road R3 on Plan of Subdivision PS004832, Farley's Road, Toolong, together with part of the adjoining owner's land at 23 Farley's Road, Toolong.

The owner of 23 Farley's Road, Toolong has requested that Council discontinue approximately 1,629 square metres of unused freehold road reserve and, in exchange, transfer approximately 1,554 square metres of their adjoining freehold land upon which part of Farley's Road is currently situated. The proposal would facilitate a realignment of the road reserve to reflect its existing physical location.
