Council has prepared a new Economic Development Strategy 2025-2029 and we are now seeking community feedback.

The draft Strategy provides a framework for Council and key stakeholders to support economic growth and prosperity for the Shire over the next five years. This Strategy updates the previous 2019 document, reflecting the changing economic and community landscape experienced across the Shire (and broader region).

The Strategy responds to existing community and business aspirations, identifying targeted and strategic projects and initiatives that recognises the role of Council and its partners in delivering economic development outcomes.

Consultation has concluded

This Economic Development Strategy (EDS) will provide a framework to guide Moyne Shire Council to support development of our local economy. Like many regional areas, the broader economic environment in which Moyne operates is changing. This presents challenges and opportunities for our economy to grow, become more diverse and competitive, create employment and harness opportunities to enhance residents’ standard of living.

Council is committed to working with the business representatives and communities of Moyne Shire to support economic prosperity. We are excited to invite the community to be a part of developing the Moyne Shire EDS.
