Works update November 2024

Works have progressed well since commencement.

By Christmas 2024, works will include:
◾️ Road asphalting and line-marking of new angle car parks.
◾️ Stage 1 footpaths will be completed.
◾️ Turf laid for new expanded open space area.
◾️ New solar streetlights installed.
◾️ New drinking fountains and outdoor showers installed at Bourne Avenue end of precinct.
◾️ Landscaping and planting at Bourne Avenue end of precinct completed.

Over the 2024-25 main Christmas and New Year school holiday period:
◾️ There will be full vehicle access along Hughes Avenue, Beach Street and Bourne Avenue.
◾️ New angle parking will be available for use.
◾️ Access to the beach via the Bourne Avenue ramp will be fully open.
◾️ Current amenities block will be fully available.
◾️ Site restrictions will be in place with site fencing around the perimeter of the new lawn area.

It is anticipated that works will stop over the Christmas period from Friday 20 December, and recommence Monday 13 January 2025.
