In May 2023, Better Boating Victoria (BBV) awarded a $50,000 grant to Council for a technical review to address jetty damage at Curdies Inlet Reserve. This funding follows issues identified during the car park upgrade works, which were also funded by BBV and carried out by Council on behalf of the Curdies Inlet and Recreation Reserve Committee of Management.

The Curdies River regularly experiences flooding, which impacts the Curdies Inlet Reserve car park, boat ramp, and jetties, resulting in significant damage and deterioration to the jetties and retaining wall structures.

In partnership with the Curdies Inlet and Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, Council invites jetty users to an open day to review and share feedback on proposed concept designs.
