Submissions close Monday 16 June 2025.

Overview

The Active Transport Strategy aims to complement the existing Moyne Bicycle Strategy (2000) and the Moyne Shire Council Plan (2021–2025), which focuses on partnering with the community to provide infrastructure that meets community needs, ensure facilities are accessible and sustainable, and support new developments with appropriate infrastructure to accommodate future growth.

Building on these key themes, the Strategy aims to:

  • Identify a comprehensive pedestrian and cyclist network that accommodates a range of users, provides critical connections to key destinations, and aligns with community needs.
  • Recommend treatments to improve accessibility, safety, and comfort for vulnerable road users.
  • Develop an implementation strategy, including concept designs for key links.
