Work will commence on installing new LED 200 Lux lighting towers to the Victoria Park oval in Koroit on Monday 16 September.

The new $535,000 lighting towers project is being funded through a $250,000 allocation from Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Country Football Netball Program, $125,000 from Council’s 2024/25 budget and $160,000 from the Koroit Football Netball Club.

Works will include:

  • Removal of the 8 existing light towers and site rehabilitation
  • Underground boring of electrical cabling
  • Earthworks and concrete footings
  • Dedicated switchboard works
  • Installation of 4 x dimmable 200 lux oval lighting towers

The project is anticipated to be completed by December 2024.

There will be safety measures in place throughout the project period around the reserve:

  • Please follow all posted signs and instructions from on-site personnel.
  • Exercise caution and patience while navigating the affected areas.
  • Adhere to modified access throughout the works
