The Project involves the integration of smart technology across the Moyne Shire to better connect community.
Moyne Shire are looking to purchase and install ‘Smart City’ technology at Port Fairy, Koroit and Mortlake, including conduit gateways, solar panel kits, multiple sensor types and dashboard and high-speed public access Wi-Fi infrastructure.
The Project aims to:
integrate smart technology for public use and by the Recipient
enable the Recipient to monitor activity, including connection to the service and crowd data capture
enable the capture of valuable data to better inform planning and decision making of Recipient led projects
enable the use of high-speed public access Wi-Fi by the community and visitors
enhance the visitor and volunteer experience at locally run events across the Moyne Shire
enable data sharing and exchange across the Moyne Shire with local partners, clubs, businesses and groups.
Solar Connect Benches and Eat Picnic Benches include:
Solar panel that powers LED lighting
2 USB charging ports and 2 wireless charging docks
Free Wi-Fi up to 50m in diameter of the furniture
Data capture on how many people use the furniture and at what times including public amenities and the surrounding space
