Moyne Shire 2024/25 Reseal Program covering 80km of local roads
Council has commenced its annual reseal program, a significant investment in maintaining and improving the local road network. This year, the program will see approximately 80 kilometres of bitumen roads resealed, ensuring smoother and safer journeys for residents and visitors alike.
Regular resealing of bitumen roads is a vital part of road maintenance, extending the lifespan of roads and reducing long-term costs. By resealing roads, the surface is protected from water damage, cracking, and deterioration caused by weather and traffic. This proactive approach helps avoid more costly repairs or full road reconstructions in the future, providing greater value to the community.
Moyne Shire is committed to prioritising road infrastructure as part of its broader strategy to support connectivity, safety, and economic growth across the municipality. The reseal program focuses on roads that are most in need of attention, based on detailed condition assessments.
For residents' convenience this page includes a full list of the roads included in this year’s program. Council will also keep the community informed of scheduled works via Engage Moyne and social media channels.
Council appreciates the community's patience while these essential works are carried out and reminds drivers to observe temporary traffic controls in affected areas to ensure safety for all road users.
