Ocean Drive update July 2026

While we cannot comment on the matter before the courts, Council continues to undertake regular site inspections of the Ocean Drive works area to maintain safety and presentation.

Minor maintenance works, including repairs to fencing and signage where required, are being carried out as part of ongoing site management.

Council resolved at the February 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting to discontinue the Ocean Drive footpath project and rehabilitate the entire works zone.

Council is working through the approval processes required to undertake works on site. This process is being managed in accordance with statutory requirements.

We acknowledge the community’s ongoing interest in the site and appreciate the patience being shown while these processes are completed. We will provide further updates when more information becomes available.
