Ocean Drive update December 2025

Council has undertaken a site inspection of the Ocean Drive works area prior to the main summer period and will complete some minor actions to improve site safety and presentation.

Broken or damaged site fencing, flag bunting and bollards have been replaced, and additional pedestrian directional signage has been installed onto site fencing.

Regular site inspections and maintenance will be undertaken over the summer period.

Council’s cultural heritage permit application for reinstatement of the site is underway under statutory processes of responsible authorities.

Council acknowledges the community’s desire for further action and appreciates the patience being shown while the required permit processes are worked through.
