Council would like to hear from you, as users of the current site, on your thoughts for what you might like to see in this community space.
The survey will close on 30 September 2025.
BACKGROUND
As part of a community-identified initiative, it has been proposed that the current Koroit Youth Space could provide a more inviting recreation experience through further improvements.
The main site currently contains a local skate park, a basketball/netball half court, a picnic shelter, a large area of open space and a small car park.
Development of the Landscape Design Plan will give community members, groups and especially our young people, the opportunity to provide feedback through direct consultation and online surveys on how they would like the space to be developed further. Suggested ideas have included additional active recreational facilities like a pump track, parkour/play equipment, additional amenities and nature play or the space could be left as it is.
The finalised design plan will assist Council in sourcing funding opportunities to look at implementing the design plan.
Council has appointed Axis Landscape Architecture to undertake the development of the Koroit Youth Space Design Plan.
